If you have won an Erasmus+ place (whether for study or Traineeship), the European Commission offers online language courses via the OLS platform (Online Linguistic Support). 

The languages are: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Danish, Greek, Swedish, Bulgarian, Croatian, Hungarian, Romanian, Slovakian and Finnish.

OLS consists of:

• A compulsory assessment test for all Erasmus students before and after the stay abroad in order to check the progress made. The assessment test establishes the linguistic level of participants and checks progress in these areas: spoken comprehension, written comprehension and production, according to the European Common Framework of Reference for languages.
• An online language course where necessary for participants with a level lower than B2 – this is not compulsory but highly recommended. The test result may be used as a language certification. We recommend you keep a copy: it is not an official qualification but may be cited in your CV.
