New Call 2024. Study Days “Inland Areas, Communities, Villages: a tourism on tiptoe.”

The initiative is funded by the National Strategy for Inland Areas SNAI, SNAI Piedmont Program - Management and Control System of National Funds (Law No. 183/1987), Project “Claim. Contamination Lab Aree Interne Montane,” included in the Area Strategy ”The green community of the Ossola Valleys. New energies for a new path of development.”

20 students will be able to participate to the study days in Villadossola (VB) from Wednesday, June 19, starting at 4:30 p.m., and ending on Friday, June 21, 2024.

The study days are an opportunity for a well-rounded reflection on how inland areas can address and play an active and innovative role on the broad topic of tourism as a pivot for economic, social and cultural development in the Alpine range.
The reports will address on a theoretical and methodological level any issues related to the enhancement of tourism assets and natural and cultural resources, as well as the study of different models of best practices to adhere to in order to undertake and enhance activities related to tourism supply, involving the various social actors active in the area in a dialogue focused on promotion policies and human capital training.

The papers, which will be presented by professors from Eastern Piedmont University or other universities, will be accompanied by guided educational outings in the area aimed at learning about local tourism resources.

Selected students will be awarded 2 university credits (recognition is subject to approval by the Graduate Council) and will be offered room and board for the duration of the Study Days.

All students regularly enrolled in bachelor's and master's degree programs active at Eastern Piedmont University's campuses are eligible to apply.

The application must be completed on the Student Portal in the “Initiatives” section, where it will be necessary to select “Actions \ Sign up for the initiative.”

Applications must be uploaded to the Portal by noon on June 5, 2024. Applications submitted after the deadline and/or that are incomplete with respect to the required data will not be considered.
